AVAnimal Rescue was founded in 2000 by Cheryl Schrader. We were started
in Boonville Calififornia
in Mendocino Countys Anderson Valley.
We are a non-profit organization - your donations are tax-deductible.
We are committed to caring for homeless cats and dogs and establishing
no kill communities for cats and dogs.
It is our goal to be a well-organized, efficient, compassionate organization
that is supported by the community, and successful in it’s “no-kill” mission.
AVAnimal Rescue is dedicated to caring for and improving the
lives of cats and dogs, and educating their owners as well as the general
populace. Our volunteers provide temporary shelter, medical care, and love for our
dogs and cats awaiting a permanent home.
Cheryl also serves on the Inland Mendocino Humane Society Board of Directors as ChairLady of the Board, where AVAR just opened
a new kittie facility

PARTNERING WITH MENDOCINO COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL
AVAnimal Rescue works closely with Mendocino County Animal Control Shelter through transfer programs to foster care for animals that need socializing,
extra medical care of underage puppies and kittens, and of course animal
adoptions.
